Robert Wayne Long, 71, passed away at Hinkle Hospice House, Monday, November 27, 2017. A native of Davidson County, he was born July 21, 1946, the son of the late George Long and Flora Mae Queen Long. He was the husband of Elizabeth Ann Griffin Long.

Mr. Long attended West Davidson High School and was the owner of Long Builders where he was a framer in residential construction. He also served in the NC National Guard.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother, Lawson Long of Salisbury. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Raymond Long, and two sisters, Louella Hoyle and Betty Kenney.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County.

Services will be held at a later date to be announced by Davie Burial & Cremation Service of Lexington which is serving the Long family.
