Ralph Albert Rodgers, 87, passed away at his home Sunday, July 9, 2017. He was born in York County, PA, March 5, 1930, the son of the late Clarence Frances Rodgers and Florence Elizabeth Wire Rodgers. He was also preceded in death by three brothers: Harvey, Charles and Clyde Rodgers and five sisters: Alice Garrett, Mildred Sweitzer, Laura Sledge, Edith Stare and Clara Rodgers.
Mr. Rodgers was a self-employed independent truck driver. He served his country in the National Guard. He attended Gospel Way Baptist Church.
Remaining to cherish his memory is one daughter, Karen Rodgers Starkweather (Dan) of Lexington; one son: Timothy Rodgers (Megan) of Thomasville, PA; two sisters: Effie Landis of York, PA, and Charlotte Harper of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and five grandchildren: Sgt. Jason Starkweather (Kristy) of Thomasville, Casey Starkweather (Jaime) of Salisbury, Kayla Hall (Mike) of Trinity, Cody Rodgers (Brittany) of PA, and Hayli Rodgers of Thomasville, PA; and eight great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 PM Saturday, July 15, at Davie Burial & Cremation Service of Lexington officiated by Pastor Timothy Sink. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
