Perry Gibson Jr. Obituary

Perry Stanley Gibson Jr., 76,  passed away Sunday, June  23, 2019 at Alston Brooks Nursing Home. A native of Queens, New York, he was born December 15, 1942,  a son to the late Perry Stanley Gibson and Gussie Mae Scott Gibson. He is also preceded in death by a son, Matthew Berry, a brother, Frederick Gibson and a sister, Shirley Walker.

Perry was enrolled in the New York School Systems as a small child. After graduation he was recruited by the US Marine Corps to serve our country as a Marine. He worked in dry cleaning industry at a local dry cleaners as manager for over two years. He enjoyed serving others with a smile.   

Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Kelly Dawn Leonard Gibson (currently seperated); three daughters, Trinessa Dubas of South Carolina, Tiffany Rodriguez (Jason) of Lexington, Jasmine Gibson of Charlotte; four grandchildren of Lexington, Ca’Zariaye, Julian, Nyella, Khilani and one grandson of New York, Jelani.

A Military Service will be held at the National Cemetery in Salisbury on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at 10:00 AM with full military honors. Rev. Dr. Timothy Sink will be officiating. 

The extended family will be hosting a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 5:00 PM, at Greater True Vine Ministries, 308 Randolph St., Thomasville, NC 27360.
