Michael Grant Taylor, 42, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018, at Brian Center Nursing Home following a period of declining health. He was a graduate of Lexington Senior High School, Class of 1995, and a member of East End Baptist Church. He had been an Emergency Medical Technician with the local EMS.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Teague Taylor; his mother, Marcella Wyatt Gillespie; his father and step-mother, Darrell and Judy Taylor; one daughter, Kari Ann Taylor of Lexington; a brother, Jimmy Taylor (Tami) of Austin, TX; a sister, LeAnn Hunt (Tony) of Thomasville; a step-brother, Dale Gainey (Vanessa) and step-sister, Angela Sams (John); five nieces: Brittany Tussey, Whitney Ferguson, Emily Taylor, Lauren Olshinski and Abby Ingram; three nephews: Matthew Taylor, Jacob Taylor and E.J. Ingram; an uncle, Gurney Wyatt (Wanda); two aunts, Linda Martin and Evelyn “Sissy” Waisner; in-laws Jimmy and Joyce Teague; and a brother-in-law, Eric Ingram (Pam).
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 PM Tuesday, July 17, at East End Baptist Church, 377 Heath Church Rd., Lexington. The Celebration of Life Service will follow in the church at 3:30 PM with Rev. Tim Gainey and Rev. Doug McGee officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be directed to Davie Burial & Cremation Service, 1403 S. Main St., Lexington, NC 27292 to help with final expenses.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Branden, Roger and Keith Waisner, Tyler Idol, Lee Wyatt, Dale Koonts, Dale Gainey, Brad McCullough and Bryan Wyatt.
