Mary Ann "Briggs" Rachels, 75, died on Saturday September 1, 2019 at the Hinkle Hospice House. A native of Davidson County, Mary was born March 29, 1944, a daughter to the late Carl Anderson Briggs and Mary Smith Briggs. Those preceding her in death along with her parents are a husband of thirty-four years, K.B. Rachels, and a son, Kevin Rachels.
Mary was a graduate of Lexington Senior High School Class of 1962. Mary worked as a clerk at Piedmont Candy and later on retired from L.S.B. Bank where she worked in the record department for more than ten years.
Those left to cherish her memory a brother, Bobby Briggs (Judy) of Lexington; two sisters, Carlene Rierson of King and Betty Jean Disher of Clemmons; a granddaughter, Hannah Larios; and one great grandson, Daymien Larios.
The family will be accepting friends and loved ones on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Becks Lutheran Church. A Celebration of life Memorial Service will be will begin at 11:00 with Vicar Eithan and Pastor David Huddle officiating. Interment at the church’s cemetery will follow promptly.
