Mary Ann Burns, 53, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018. A native of Davidson County, born May 22, 1965, the daughter of the late Earnest and Virginia Lee Blackwell. Preceding her in death along with her parents are an infant son, Joshua Spencer Williams, two brothers, Earl Blackwell and Charles Blackwell.
Mary attended Randolph Community College where she obtained her bachelors degree. She worked in the Security Industry as a security guard at P&G Security. She was a member at Bethel Baptist Church in Denton, North Carolina.
Those left to cherish her memory are a loving fiancé, Darrell Williams; two daughters, Laura Burns (Timothy), Cassy Burns both of Denton; a brother, William Blackwell of Lexington; two sisters, Patsy Foster (Thomas) of Denton, Barbara Gonneville of Randleman; two grandchildren Luna Leonard and Aurora and several nieces and nephews. A Gathering of family and friends will be held at Heavens Gate Church in Lexington on Saturday December 29, 2018 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM. A Celebration of Life Service will begin immediately after at 1:00PM with Pastor Ken Norman and Pastor Darrell Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Forrest Hill Cemetery.
