Lydia Suetta Rose, 56, died Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Davidson County. A native of Davidson County, Lydia was born on March 19, 1963, a daughter to the late Austin H. Rose and Doris Louise Conrad. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Rose and Randy Rose.
Lydia was a graduate of Central Davidson High School, Class of 1981. She was employed at Ingersol -Rand in the manufacturing department where she worked on the assembly line for more than six years. Lydia was a family-oriented lady. She loved spending time with her sisters and being surrounded by the ones she loved. As a young child Lydia thrived to make softball a huge part of her life. She kept that dream alive as she played for various teams throughout her life. On her last season of playing softball she played for her home church, Holly Grove Lutheran Church, the VFW, and Fletcher Machine. She enjoyed anything that had to do with being outdoors including kayaking. She enjoyed spoiling her two dogs, Patches and Molly.
Those left to cherish her memory are two sisters, Glenna Garner (Steven) of Lexington, Sheila Hanes of Lexington; three nieces, Kristal Ferguson, Randi Hileman, Taylor Hanes; six nephews, Michael Rose, Greg Rose, Travis Rose, Nathan Rose, Charles Garner, Brian Garner; several great nieces and nephews; Angie Stevenson, her significant other.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 4:00 PM at Holly Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery. Rev. Matt Smith will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Hospice of Davidson or a charity of your choice.
