Joann Marie (Reid) Cartrette

Joann Marie Reid Cartrette, 50, went home to be with the Lord January 13, 2020. Born February 23, 1969 a daughter to the late Joe Cephas Reid and Lois Sink Reid Wrenn. She was a native of Forsyth County. She is preceded in death by her father.

Joann attended college after graduating high school in 1984 from North Davidson High. She was employed in the furniture industry at Young and Hinkle where she worked more than twenty years as a sander in the sanding room. Joann was of Baptist faith.

Those left to cherish her memory two sons, Eric Scott Cartrette of Virginia, Auburn Daniel Cartrette of Thomasville; a daughter, Kimberly Adams (Dewayne) of High Point; two sisters; Tammy Staten (Bobby) and Sherry Hill both of Lexington; and six grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held in the chapel of Davie Burial & Cremation in Lexington on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Lexington City Cemetery. Rev. Timothy Sink will be officiating.
