Fred Norman, 80, of Lexington, passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Health, Monday, February 5, 2018. A native of Davidson County, he was born June 7, 1937, the son of the late George W. Norman and Agnes Holt Norman.
Mr. Norman attended Shady Grove School in the Davie County School System. He was the owner of South Main Produce for 22 years and was a member of Heaven’s Gate United Full Gospel Church.
Remaining to cherish his memory is his wife of 63 years, Ruth “Evelyn” Norman; one daughter, Shelia Boileau (Bruce) of Lexington; three brothers, Albert Norman (Ellen) and E.D. Norman (Marie) both of Lexington and Lige Norman (Henrietta) of Oak Island; three grandchildren, Jason Boileau, Carly Boileau and Leslie Lanier and one great grandchild, Harper Lanier. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Marie Myers and Betty Jean Forest and four brothers, Jack, Glenn, Junior and Wayne Norman.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Heaven’s Gate United Full Gospel Church with Pastor Ken Norman and Herman Powell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Davie Burial & Cremation Service of Lexington is serving the Norman family.
