Dexter Lee “Buck” Milam, 69, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center Tuesday, July 25, 2017. He was born in Burke Co., NC, July 8, 1948, the son of the late Homer L. Milam and Alice Crelda Mourglea Milam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by one brother, Johnny Earl Milam. He attended Lexington City Schools and was a commercial truck driver for 30 years.

Remaining to cherish his memory are two sons: Ronnie L. Milam (Rebecca) and Scott Milam (Lori), both of Lexington; one daughter: Jamie Jackson of Lexington; two brothers: Homer Lee Milam, Jr. (Nancy) of Kannapolis and David Wayne Milam (Hannah), of Germany; three sisters: Jerlene Hodge (Harvey, Jr.) of Lexington, Sharon Daughteridge (Maurice) of Gastonia and Alicia Church of Forest City; and five grandchildren: Tyler, Bret, Jacob, Justin and Chasity.

The family will receive friends Thursday July 27 from 6:30-8:30 at Davie Burial & Cremation Service Chapel and at other times at the home of Jerlene Hodge.  The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 28, at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church (101 E. Park Avenue, Lexington) with Pastor Bud Powell officiating.

Davie Burial & Cremation Service of Lexington is serving the Milam family. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the funeral home to help offset final expenses.
