Charlotte “Sue” (Mohn) Ward, 69, of Roanoke, VA, passed away at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington on Thursday, April 12, 2018. She was born in Eldorado, AK, on November 6, 1948, the daughter of the late Norman Mohn, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Honeycutt Mohn. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Norman Mohn, Jr. and a sister, Marlette Atchley.
She was a 1967 graduate of Wytheville (VA) High School and a graduate of High Point University where she obtained an Associate’s Degree. In 2010, she retired from an administrative position with Hancock Steel after twelve years of service. She was a member of Bonsack Baptist Church in Roanoke.
Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Roger Ward; two sons, Randal Brooks (Crystal) of Lexington and Shanon Brooks (Diana) of Kernersville; two brothers, Terry Mohn (Sheryl) of Boone and Paul Mohn of High Point; one sister, Joann Taylor (Glenn) of Arkansas; and four grandchildren: Meagan, Emily, Amber and Anna.
A memorial service will be conducted on April 28 at 2:00 PM at Bonsack Baptist Church in Roanoke. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
