Carolyn Marie (Hepler) Byerly

Carolyn Marie Hepler Byerly (69 years) of Lexington, North Carolina, gained her angel wings, on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Lexington Health Care.

Carolyn was born March 22, 1950 in Davidson County, NC to the late Walter Jerome Hepler and Hazel McDowell Hepler. She attended North Davidson High School and was self-employed for  a number several years.  Her last job was in healthcare as an in home caregiver.  She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Kenneth Hepler.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Roger Lee Byerly and wife Misty of Mocksville; one daughter, Wanda Stafford and husband Dennis of Lexington; one sister Helen Phillips and husband Donnie of Lexington; five grandchildren, Steven Mahala, Kim Mahala, Aliyah Byerly, Gabrian Byerly, and Emily Byerly; four great grandchildren, Alana Mahala, Isaiah Mahala, Ashton Moore, and Lillian Mahala.

The family will receive family and friends from 1pm to 2pm on Monday, January 6, 2020, at Forest Hill Memorial Park Chapel, with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 2pm with the Rev. Jo Jacobson, officiating.  Internment will take place immediately following the service at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at other times at the home of her daughter, Wanda Stafford, 194 Jada Drive, Lexington, NC 27295.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help cover the cost of funeral expenses.
