Brenda Kay Cooper Hodge, 71, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Lexington Health Care Center. She was a native of Davidson County, born August 15, 1946, the daughter of the late Charles Archie Cooper and Hazel Marie Hardee. She was the widow of Jimmie Edgar Hodge.
Brenda was a graduate of East Davidson High School. Prior to health problems, she had been employed at PTI and Italian Grove Restaurant. She enjoyed putting together puzzles, coloring and collecting.
She is survived by two sons, Doug Hanks (Patricia) of Winston-Salem and Brian Hanks (Kristy) of Thomasville; seven grandchildren: Chrystina Moos, Alex, Andrew, Aaron, Alyssa and Ashlyn Hanks, and Michael Morris-Hanks.
A visitation will be from 6:30 until 8:30 Wednesday, January 31, at Davie Burial & Cremation Chapel, 1403 S. Main Street, Lexington. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday at Forest Hills Cemetery officiated by Rev. Doug McGee.
