Bobby was a good friend. I have many memories of him, but one of my favorite is the "race car" club that met in the loft over his parents car shed the Saturdays when students had to go to school until 1:00 pm to make up for lost snow days during the "snows of 1960." Ricky Surratt was a member of the club and maybe Gary Covington and others. We all became blood brothers, taking after a Lassie television show when Jeff (before Timmy) and a friend became blood brothers. We even took up dues, though I don't know what happened to the money when the club disbanded after a month or two. Anyway, I will always remember Bobby fondly and enjoyed his friendship.
