Bobby Grimes Holt

Bobby Grimes Holt (1928-2018) went to be with his Heavenly father on October 27, 2018 with his loving daughter Mitzee & son- in –law, Chris, niece Peggy Puckett, and Tammy Myers who by his side, after a short stay at Accordius Health of Lexington.  Bobby was born in Woodleaf to James Kerr Holt and Lilly May Freeman,both which preceded him in death along with his wife, Betty and a long list of siblings.  Bobby is survived by his daughter, Mitzee Holt Hackett (Chris), three grandchildren, Velveteen, Chadwick and Sheridan Hackett.  Bobby had many loves in his life.  Family, time at White Lake, Deserts, bingo, horse  shoes and many others.  He deeply enjoyed the holidays of Halloween and Christmas with decorations.  Enjoyed watching the Young and Restless and the Price is Right. Most of all he was fond of cats.  Bobby was a long time employee of Strohs Brewery which he was in maintance.  After retirement he enjoyed doing small jobs and painting.  He believed in living life to the fullest.  There will be a celebration of his life at Davie Burial and Cremation of Lexington, 1403 S Main St Lexington, NC 27295 at 2pm on November 3, 2018.  A celebration gathering will occur at Mile 2 church on 21 W 7^th Ave Lexington, NC 27295, following the service.  “If you think of the calm waters of White Lake think about me.” Bobby.                                                                                                                Davie Burial & Cremation of Lexington will be serving the family.
