Billy Gray Key, 86, of Lexington, passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Health, Friday, January 5, 2018. A native of Yadkin County, he was born August 23, 1931, the son of the late Theodore Roosevelt Key and Myrtle Carrie Hayes Key. He received his associate’s degree from Ashmore Business College and retired from Craver Paint Store after 65 years of employment.

Remaining to cherish his memory are one niece, Sharon Bivens (Robert); nephew, Jackie Lynn "Butch" Key and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jackie S. Key and his sister, Carolyn A. Winkler.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 12, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church (1087 Leonard Rd., Lexington, NC 27295) with Rev. Barry Queen and Steve Joyce officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Ebenezer UMC.
