Betty Leona (Beck) Avery

Betty Leona Avery, 88, passed away early Saturday morning, March 30, 2019, in the comfort of her home with her family by her side. She was a native of Davie County, born October 13, 1930, to the late Alfred L. Beck and Carrie Elizabeth Pennington Beck. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sherrill Rufus Avery; a brother, Robert Beck; two sisters, Sara Mae Beck, and Bernice Meyer.

Betty attended Lexington Church of God. She retired from Dixie Furniture in Linwood, where she worked in the cabinet department .

Those left to cherish her memories are two sons, Richard Sherrill Avery (Susan) of Charlotte, Jimmy Neal Avery (Christal) of Lexington; a daughter, Susan Avery Frady (Darrell) of Maryland; a brother, Leonard Beck of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Joshua Frady, Michael Avery, Carrie Burleson, Andrew Avery, Samuel Avery, Dillon Avery, Jacob Avery and six great grandchildren,

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC  on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM.
