Betty Wrenn Beck, 89, died early Sunday morning on October 13, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House in Davidson County. A native of Davidson County, a daughter born to the late Obe Lee Wrenn and Maude Lorene Surratt Wrenn on April 16, 1930. Also preceding her in death are a husband of sixty-three years, Mr. David Edwin Beck, one son, Randy Beck, two brothers, Dwight Wrenn, Roy Wrenn, four sisters, Daisy Fritts, Willie Mae Hartley, Lena Lemly, and Mildred Lemly.
Betty worked in the furniture industry in the cabinet room at Council Craftsman for four years. Betty was a charter member at Central Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Cathy Beck Hailey of Lexington; four grandchildren, Gene Hailey, Denita Burns, Kent Newsome; three great grandchildren, Frankie Hailey, Katelyn Burns, Logan Burns, Kadyn Newsome, and one great great grandchild, Kristopher Hailey.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday October 16, 2019 at Cross Point Church at 4:00 PM. Family will be receiving loved ones who wish to pay their respects one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Floyd Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Michael Greer and Preacher Freddie Moretz officiating.
