William “Bill” Boyd Wallace, 71, of Denton, passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Health, Monday, March 5, 2018. A native of Davidson County, he was born May 21, 1946, the son of the late Teddy Roosevelt Wallace and Inez Rose Carter Wallace.
Mr. Wallace graduated from Central High School and retired from Georgia Pacific after nineteen years. He was a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Wrenn Wallace; two sons, Jeff Wallace (Lisa) of Denton and Todd Wallace (Wendy) of Linwood; two brothers, Larry W. Wallace (Janice) and David A. Wallace (Teresa) both of Lexington; two grandchildren, Whitney D. Wallace and Adam T. Wallace, II and several nieces, nephews and special friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby, Donald and Jim Wallace.
The visitation will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. The Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:00 PM.
At other times visitors will be received at 21079 Hwy. 8, Denton, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Hospice of Davidson County or to Faith Promise of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church mission fund (310 Cotton Grove Rd., Lexington).
Davie Burial & Cremation Service of Lexington is serving the Wallace family.
