Janet Elaine Leonard Hunt, 71, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017, at Hinkle Hospice Home. She was a Davidson County native, born August 25, 1945, the daughter of the late Roby and Iris Inez Bates Leonard. She was the widow of Don Hunt.

Mrs. Hunt had a career as a housewife and homemaker for her family and she attended Free Pilgrim Church. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers.

Her memory will be cherished by her son, Tony Hunt, and his wife, LeAnn; three grandchildren: Lauren Olshinski (Sam), Brittany Tussey (Chris) and Whitney Ferguson (Chris); six great grandchildren: Gracie, Madison, Bailey and Ashlyn Tussey, Lydia Olshinski and Easton Ferguson; and her sisters-in-law, Letha Holbert and Marsha Hunt.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday, July 13, at Free Pilgrim Church, 1275 Free Pilgrim Church Road, Thomasville, with Pastor Steve Manley officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park.
