James Arthur Marlow, 75, of Lexington passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Friday, December 1, 2017. A native of Horry County, SC, he was born May 18, 1942, the son of the late James Andrew Marlow and Annie Mae Johnson Marlow. He attended William Hill High School in South Carolina and later served honorably in the US Navy. He was a truck driver for Mabe Trucking for 10 years.

 

Remaining to cherish his memory is his wife of 26 years, Annie Mae Manuel Marlow; six sons, James Marlow (Shelby), Teddy Ray Marlow (Donna) and Chris Mazzeffero all of Lexington, Chad Manuel (Krystal) of Stoneville, Kenny Manuel (Joni) of Huntsville and Chris Manuel (Cece) of Trinity; three daughters, Judy Hunt (Wayne) and Julie Friday (Shaffon) both of Lexington and Teresa Poag (June) of Tyro; seven brothers, Robert Marlow (Linda) of Lexington, Vernon Marlow (Wanda) of Tyro, Trent Marlow (Tammy), Larry Marlow, John Marlow, Jim Marlow (Wanda) and David Marlow all of South Carolina; five sisters, Florine Casselman, Francis Elliott (Dunham), Diane Marlow, Mary Ann Moore (Daryl) and Patricia Heartfield (Meck) all of South Carolina; thirty five grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Asbury; three brothers, Kenneth, Keith and Tracy Marlow and one sister, Ann Lee Marlow.

 

The family will receive friends Monday, December 11, 2017 from 6:30-8:30 PM in the chapel of Davie Burial & Cremation Service of Lexington. A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Freedom Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Marlow and the Rev. Clyde Akers officiating. Interment will follow in the Lexington City Cemetery.
