Carolyn Christine Hutchins Brinkley, 66, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County. A native of Wilkes County, she was born June 4, 1951, to the late James H. Hutchins and Esther Sybil Balwin Hutchins. She was the wife of Lonnie Lee Brinkley, Sr. and had been married for 46 years.

Mrs. Brinkley attended Central Davidson High School and became a homemaker for her family. She was a member of Full Gospel Freewill Holiness Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Lonnie L. Brinkley, Jr. of Lexington and Christopher D. Brinkley of Greensboro; two brothers, Rev. William “Junior” Thomas Hutchins (Kay) and Michael Hutchins (Tabby), both of Lexington; one sister, Kathy Michael (Dale) of Lexington; four grandchildren: Jason R. Brinkley, Chasity Brinkley, Brandon Brinkley and Aaliyah Brinkley and two great grandchildren, Eli Brinkley and Emma Lynn Brinkley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Hutchins.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 29, 2017 from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM at Full Gospel Freewill Holiness Church. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00 PM at the church with Rev. Phillip Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be sent to Full Gospel Freewill Holiness Church.
